Advanced Hazmat Life Support Courses April 22-24, 2017 Toronto

AHLS Provider Courses

The Advanced Hazmat Life Support (AHLS) Provider program is a 16 hour, two-day course that gives health professionals a timely and effective response strategy in the medical management of Hazmat incidents. Participants will receive a four-year verification status upon successful completion of the course. This course covers a vast array of hazardous materials, including pesticides, corrosives, toxic inhalants and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear agents.  Almost 18000 trained in over 68 countries!

Dr. Frank Walter: MD, FACEP, FACMT, FAACT is a professor of Emergency Medicine at The University of Arizona (UA) College of Medicine, professor of Pharmacy Practice & Science at The UA College of Pharmacy, and a medical toxicologist with the Arizona Poison & Drug Information Center in Tucson, Arizona. He is co-founder and editor of the Advanced HAZMAT Life Support (AHLS) Program, co-presented by the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology (AACT) and UA.

Dr. Stephen Borron: MD, MS, FAACT, FAAEM, FACEP, FACMT is a professor of Emergency Medicine & Medical Toxicology at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine; Medical Director of the West Texas Regional Poison Center; and is an editor for Haddad &Winchester's Poisoning & Drug Overdose. He ranks in the top 0.1% of academic emergency physicians in the USA, based on the remarkable impact and number of his peer-reviewed publications. He helped develop hydroxocobalamin as an antidote for cyanide poisoning.
