Marie Rocchi

In her role as Instructional Designer on the project, Marie Rocchi's (BscPhm, M.Ed.) function is to create and build learning environments, relying on the project's experts, stakeholders' and users' perspectives. Her team will also provide support for facilitators and participants as they engage in technology-enabled education.

She was the instructional designer for IDEASatWork, which involved hospital staff from 5 hospital and focused on surge capacity creation strategies. Marie likes to design in all manner of learning environments from large classroom, experiential, online learning management systems, serious games, and simulations. She is a full time Faculty member at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy (teaching Informatics and Medication Therapy Management), as well as being cross appointed as Director of Educational Programs to the Center for the Evaluation of Health Professionals Educated Abroad. Marie practices pharmacy part-time in the community setting and at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health.

Why the CBRNE Collaborative is important to Marie.

Aside from the very important nature of the training we are developing, the design team is able to be creative and innovative.Our learning environments will foster a Community of Practice through the unique approaches to education and training the project will create, deliver, and evaluate.
